Last season the girls exceeded all expectations and during pre season the keep possession, work from the back mentality got its first chance to be put into a game situation in the Nottingham Cup. The opposition was Nottingham Forest, Barnsley, Sheffield United and Huddersfield Town, the girls stepped up to the standard and played great football throughout the day eventually beating Barnsley on penalties to finish 3rd. Huge credit to the girls and given we had 4 different girls play in goal it was a squad effort which we are so proud of. The emphasis for the new season is to play attractive football and this was on display for all to see on Sunday.
