Not really sure the Vets intended or wished to make there semi final quite as entertaining for the crowd as it turned out, but for those who came down that’s just what we got. In fairness there were probably enough old boys from Gedling Southbank down to watch we could have put out three teams.
After pretty much dominating most of the first half the team went for a welcome halftime drink amazingly 2 down. The second half started about the same as the first with GSB dominating possession, however it was the GSB upright that was rattled as Bilsthorpe nearly grabbed a third.
The pressure eventually told as the Bank grabbed a first then an equaliser to send the game to penalties. Keeper for the day (and striker then keeper again) Nick Edgar pulled off a couple of good stops to send the team through to the final.
Well done to all, great to see lots of GSB support old and new, one last request for the final is, can we have a crèche please so all the dads can focus on the game.
