Saturdays game saw the welcome return of Billy, Liam, Max and Luca to the team for our game against Bulwell Rangers. It was the first time this season I had a full eleven players so it was a hard job picking the starting seven.
After not playing a game for three weeks we looked half asleep for the first five minutes but a kick up the bum from Steveo and myself saw the team step up a few gears. Max and Ben worked well together and when Max passed the ball to Ben he finished well just after the twelve minute mark.
Super sub Corey put us 2-0 ahead just before half time with a shot from outside the box which found the bottom left hand corner of the goal.
The second half saw the team work hard across the pitch with Josh, Ronnie and Ethan all coming on. The 3rd goal was an own goal from a corner but it was well deserved after Ethan forced a good save from Bulwell keeper only seconds before.
Keeper Ashton didn’t have much to do but when he was called into action he made two good saves to keep us in control.
Captain Billy and Liam controlled the back line once again and when they took the ball out from the back Luca and Max took over in midfield, and when Max crossed the ball in to the box Tom was there to get his 7th of the season and make it 4-0.
It finished 4-0. A games that saw every one in the team work hard and pass the ball round well.
Billy was voted man of the match and we got the great start to the November league we deserved.
