A morning to never forget

Written by Adam Chapman

With my U11 Boys not kicking off till 14:30 on Saturday 23rd November, it allowed me time to take part in the 10km Mo Run at Wollaton Park, in aid of Movember and Prostate Cancer UK.

Many of you have been kind enough to donate to my Mo Space, which now stands at an amazing £1535. This is matched £ for £ by Royal Mail so that is £3070 going to Prostate Cancer UK.

So how did I raise so much money? Well hopefully you all know the challenge had been set by the boys to run in a mankini if the total was over £1000. As you can see the total was smashed and I found myself stood in Wollaton Park at 9:50am on Saturday morning in a coat, a pair of shorts and a mankini with the temperature at just 4 degrees, trying desperately to avoid our head coach, Jason Lowther!!

To cut a long story short, at 10:10am, my Mum was holding my shorts, I threw my coat to my Dad and legged it up the hill towards the hall with most of my body on show to all present. 54 minutes later and after a lot of people laughing at me, a few chatting to me and some left just speechless, I finally got my coat back from my Dad!!

Finally thank you to all those that have donated and if you really feel the need to see what I looked like then look no further than http://fstopeventphotography.shootproof.com/event/357967 – I think you’ll see which one is me!!!
