A place to call home

Written by Adrian Hall

Following on from last year’s unsuccessful application, we have again been asked to apply for the tenancy of the old Gedling Town ground in Stoke Bardolph.

The benefits of Gedling Southbank having a ground of its own are immeasurable and we need as much support now and if we are successful with our bid.

If you have contacts at Gedling Borough Council, ask them to support our application, if you know a local high profile sport star, get them to help promote the bid, or if you are, work for or have connections with a local business encourage them to back the clubs proposal?

By doing this, we are demonstrating to the FA and the landlords that Gedling Southbank has the backing of the local community and the expansive GSB family.

Opportunities such as this do not come along very often and the commercial and development possibilities are endless, giving opportunity for more and more people to play football in the Gedling Borough

The deadline for the bid application is Thursday 28th March, so if you are interested to be involved, or feel that you have something to offer, then contact Adrian via email or phone.

Also, keep an eye out on the Gedling Southbank website and its official Twitter feed, @GSBFC, for updates on the applications progress and who else is “Backing the Bid”
