This weekends game against Ruddington Village at Arnold Mill saw us with Max, Corey and Ethan missing from action, Id like to wish poorly Max a fast recovery.
From the very first kick the lads had a spring in there step and looked up for todays game. We forced the Ruddington keeper into a few good saves within the first ten minutes and two minutes later Luca made a very good run down the right hand side and when he made it into the box he put the ball into the back of the net.
The rest of the first half saw us in control and when Josh got his first goal of the season I was over the moon for him. The passing was good today and just before half time Tom yet again found himself in the box ready for the cross and he hit the bouncing ball into the top of the net 3-0 at half time.
Because the passing and team work was so good today Ruddington was finding it hard and it only took five minutes of the second half for Ronnie to get the 4th.
Captin Billy made it five with a shot from outside the box that found the top left hand corner of the goal.
The best passing move of the day saw Liam pass to Luca, Luca to Ronnie, Ronnie found Tom and then Tom put Luca one on one with the keeper Luca made to mistake and got his second of the day.
It was only two minutes later Luca got his 3rd, a great days work from Luca and his first hat trick.
At 7-0 Ruddington pulled one back to end the chance of a clean sheet for Ashton. Josh was having a great game and he topped it off with the 8th goal if the day and his second of the game.
In the last few minutes Ben was judged to have brought down the Ruddington number 7 on the edge of the box (NEVER A FREE KICK) and the Ruddington number 7 fired the ball into the top of the net.
8-2 the final score.
Luca was voted man of the match just ahead of Josh and we had now made it six wins in a row. The improvement in passing, team work and work rate have been so easy to see in the past four weeks and Im very proud of all of them.
