My daughter started playing for GSB at U9 (set up by Jenny and Tina) and it was by a total accident that I took her to the incorrect 3G pitch one Saturday morning and by chance it was her age group. At the time she was a very shy and would never go to anything on her own, but she was made to feel welcome by everyone and wanted to carry on.
4 years later she has made lots of new friends which we think is great having another circle of friend’s away from school. When the team formed, they didn’t have a sponsor so I was asked if I’d like to sponsor them, we have sponsored the kit each season, purchased drill tops and also funded a couple of team get togethers, such as trampolining and a Christmas party.
From leaving school I have been involved in the car auctions but I was always asked to get people vehicles which I couldn’t do whilst working in the auction, so when the company I was working for SMA was purchased by BCA a much larger auction I decided that I would set up NATIONAL CAR FINDER, last week we were 7 years old!
We are more a car shopping service, we don’t hold stock we purchase the vehicles’ using my many contacts to the customer specifications and deliver them to their door. Some people know exactly what they want whereas others just have a budget and a size in mind, and this is where we help.
