GEDLING SOUTHBANK U11 v BRAMCOTE U11
Saturday 15th March saw GSB U11’s play host to Bramcote in a fixture that only lasted 30 minutes back in February due to an abandonment at half time as the hail storm beat both teams. The score at half time in that game was 0-0.
GSB kicked with the wind in the first half and we ahead within two minutes thanks to Ben ‘Mozza’ Morris. He got the ball on the edge of the area and shot low into the bottom right hand corner.
GSB continued to pile on the pressure with Bramcote struggling to get the ball out of their half with the wind a major factor. However GSB could not add to their total and were made to pay twice in 2 minutes by Bramcote. The second of the two the punt from half way in GSB half which sailed over McKensie ‘Macca Pacca’ Withers in goal.
GSB managed to level things just before half time when a neat move on the edge of the box saw Carter ‘Pates’ Pateman lay the ball out wide to James ‘Planty’ Plant who fired the ball into the far corner.

The second half saw Bramcote play with the wind and they came into the game more, as expected. GSB continued to play football and did create a few chances with James ‘Abs’ Abbott having a couple of good efforts when cutting in from the right but just missing the target.
Final Score: GSB 2 Bramcote 2
Man of the Match: James Abbott. In the 2nd half he made a difference with his forward runs especially cutting in from the left hand side.
